Bondeau, Haiti
Bondeau is a small, rural village in Southwest Haiti just west of Miragoane in the Nippes region. Family dwellings are scattered along the shore and up the mountain with Bon Samaritan School and Church as the community hub.
In the summer of 2024, many families fled the extreme violence in Port-au-Prince and they settled in Bondeau. The community and school were overwhelmed by the influx of people and the local which is supported by the South Florida Haiti Project did not have the funds to support the 50 new refugee student this school year.
We will sponsor all costs to educate 50 students for the next 11 months. We need your help to provide the following for these 50 REFUGEE STUDENTS AT BON SAMARITAN SCHOOL:
• Tuition for 50 students: 11 months of school
• Uniforms for 50 students: 25 uniforms for K-6th and 25 uniforms for secondary students
• Salary for 1 additional teacher: This teacher will be hired to help with the additional help needed to educate the refugee students
• School Supplies and Books for 50 students
• Benches and desks for 25 primary students
• Desks for 25 secondary students
• 12,000 meals - daily Lunch for 50 students: 250 meals a week for 11 months
