BORD DE MER, HAITI
Bord de Mer is a small fishing village about a 30-minute drive outside of Cap Haitien. In 2023, we partnered with Y-KNOT Missions and Mission of Hope to make a substantial impact on the school and community. The school, with 100 students, is currently located on the church campus of Eglise Evangelique des frere de la Grace.
DUBOUT, HAITI
Dubout is a small farming village about a 30-minute drive south of Cap Haitien. In 2023, we partnered with Y-KNOT Missions and Mission of Hope to make a substantial impact on the school and community. The school is, with 125 students, is currently located in the sanctuary of Eglise Nouvelle vie.
GANTHIER, HAITI
When VOH first arrived in Ganthier nearly 30 years ago, they discovered a small, rural village outside of Port-au-Prince. Over the years, this small village has been developed and has become a suburb of PAP. VOH created the Village of Hope School in collaboration with “Mammie” Carol Herget. The Village of Hope School has grown from 60 children and 1 building into a campus of 9 buildings on 30 acres, 70 Haitian teachers and staff serving more than 500 students.
BERCY, HAITI
Bercy is located northwest of Port-au-Prince and about an hour drive away. It is located near the coast. This year Village of Hope will be providing vocational training to students with help from our partners at Extollo International.
PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI
Established in May 1995, Bernard Mevs Hospital is managed by Doctors Jerry and Marlon Bitar. Its mission is to bring quality healthcare to all who need it, regardless of their ability to pay. For 29 years, the hospital has provided healthcare to the Haitian population, particularly to communities in the Port-au-Prince area.
BONDEAU, HAITI
Bondeau is a small, rural village in Southwest Haiti just west of Miragoane in the Nippes region. Family dwellings are scattered along the shore and up the mountain with Bon Samaritan School and Church as the community hub.
