Port-au-Prince, Haiti
Established in May 1995, Bernard Mevs Hospital is managed by Doctors Jerry and Marlon Bitar. Its mission is to bring quality healthcare to all who need it, regardless of their ability to pay. For 29 years, the hospital has provided healthcare to the Haitian population, particularly to communities in the Port-au-Prince area.
We need your help in SPONSORING 1,000 IMPOVERISHED CHILDREN in Port-au-Prince. The lives of 1,000 children will be saved or transformed by this sponsorship with $100/patient.
Through this project, we will provide medical services to most vulnerable children in Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas, including Ganthier, who are in unstable socioeconomic situations. The clinic provides pediatric HIV and AIDS patients with quality care through a variety of services. These patients can access outpatient care, diagnostic and emergency services, surgical procedures, a state- of-the-art laboratory, medicine, and chronic disease management. The clinic cares for children with critical conditions like hydrocephalus or severe handicaps and even gunshot wounds. Our funding will provide the following to 1,000 impoverished patients:
• X-rays and CT scans
• Oxygen
• Medicine
• Medical equipment
• Hospital staff
• Fuel
